Teacher Biographies
Deep Spring Center Trained Teachers
Frank Levey
has been practicing Vipassana meditation since the mid 80's, and he
connected with Deep Spring Center within a few weeks of arriving in
Ann Arbor in 1993. He has been teaching classes and co-leading
retreats since 1997. In addition Frank has experience with
Taoist and is
a certified Transformational Breath facilitator.
An avid
outdoorsman, he has taught wilderness survivial to youth and adults.
Frank lives with his wife, Larissa, and their son, Issac, in Ann
Arbor.
Carol Blotter has been practicing Insight (Vipassana) Meditation since 1989 and has been teaching since 1999. She is a teacher for The Forest Way, an organization dedicated to providing retreat opportunities conducive to spiritual growth that is both balanced and integrated. She is also a teacher for Deep Spring Center, an organization that supports the deepening of non-dual awareness.
Mary
Grannan has been a meditator since 1977, began
practicing vipassana in 2001. She joined Deep Spring’s teacher
training program in 2004 and has taught several meditation classes
and workships over the years. Since her retirement as a social
worker/program developer working with women and children in 1999,
she has devogted much time to studying and practicing the Dharma.
She knows this as her life’s work – to grow in clear seeing and calm
abiding, to share the teachings and to provide support and
encouragement for students on the path.
