The core of our being, our buddha nature, is spontaneously wise, compassionate, joyous and loving. But as we experience the chaos that is our everyday life, the state of some of our relationships, and that pervasive feeling of discontent, it is hard to even fleetingly recognized our buddha nature. So many of these feelings that plague us arise from the desire for things to be different from the way they are. In this retreat we will explore how to let go of that desire and how wisdom and compassion naturally arise when we can be present with what is.
This is a beginner's retreat, but all are welcome. Meditation instruction will be provided. The retreat will include guided sittings, walking meditation, Dharma talks, and interviews. This retreat will be held in silence except for interviews and group Q & A sessions. Our venue is small so registration is limited. There are several residential accommodations available but you can commute each day if you prefer.
